Uno

UNO is a popular card game that is sold in many variations, some of which include licensed versions. In the game, the first player starts by placing down on a card, and the next player must place down a card of the same number or color. The player's goal is to be the first to use all of the cards in their hand.

There are four Cars versions of UNO that have been released; one in 2006 based on Cars, one in 2011 based on Cars 2, one in 2014 mainly based on Cars 2 and one in 2017 based on Cars 3. There are also three Planes versions of UNO; two released based on Planes; one in 2013 and one in 2014, and another in 2014 based on Planes: Fire & Rescue. The original Cars also had a version of UNO Master based on it in 2007. Various Disney and Pixar themed UNO decks have also featured Cars characters on some cards.

Special Rules[]

The rules of the game remain mostly the same, now with Cars and Planes characters on them. Each version also has 4 copies of a unique Wild Card with a special effect depending on the version, while still retaining the ability to choose the color that continues play.

Cars UNO (2006) - Victory Lap Wild Card[]

When this card is played, all players pass their cards facedown in the direction of play. The person who played the card looks at the cards passed to them and decides whether to keep the cards or pass them. This process continues until the person who played the card keeps the cards in front of them or gets their cards back. Play then resumes with the chosen color.[1]

Cars UNO Master (2007) - Lightning Cards (#9 and #5)[]

All 9 and 5 cards feature Lightning McQueen on them. Whenever one of these cards is played, the player may yell "Lightning!" and play a second legal card during the timer. If you fail to play your second card before the timer goes off, you must take the usual timer penalty of drawing two cards.[2]

Cars 2 UNO (2011) - Special Agent Mater Wild Card[]

When this card is played, the person who played it may look at every other player's hand. Play then resumes with the chosen color.[3]

Cars UNO (2014) - Accle-race Wild Card[]

When this card is played, draw the top card from the draw pile and place it on the discard pile. Next, everyone races to discard one card that matches that color. The last person to play a card must place the card they discarded back into their hand. If you don't have that color, you cannot participate. Play then continues in the current direction with this color.[4]

Cars 3 UNO (2017) - Crash Up Wild Card[]

When this card is drawn, it is played immediately. Combine your cards with the player next in the turn order. Shuffle them together before dealing them between the two of you, starting with the other player. Play then resumes with the chosen color.[5]

Planes UNO (2013) - Altimeter Alert Wild Card[]

When this card is played, choose a color. All players choose a card of that color from their hand. The players simultaneously reveal their cards. The player with the highest unique card (if another player plays the same card as another player, they cancel each other out) gets to discard that card. Play then resumes with the chosen color.[6]

Planes UNO (2014) - Franz Wild Card[]

When a Draw 4 is played against you, use this card to block the effect. You then choose the color of play and take another turn.[7]

Planes: Fire and Rescue UNO (2014) - Water Drop Wild Card[]

The person who played this card discards all of their blue cards, then resumes with the chosen color.[8]
